The fragile peace has shattered.

Reagord Silentflame

Race: Sheil (pointed ears)

Gender: lad

Age: 25

Hair color: Blonde

Eye color: Emerald Green

Height: 5' 10''

Weight: 140 lbs.

Occupation: Magical scout for the Guild of Magic-Users-of-all-sorts (sent out by the guild to find/inspect new magic, powerful items, magical occurences, or talented students)
When not in service, Tutor for apprentices at same Guild

Talent: When concentrating, can detect a magical presence as long as he can see it.

Description:
Reagord is rather tall, and his lithe frame makes him look even taller than he really is. Due to his proffessions, he has remained very slim, but very well toned, and is particularly strong for most Collegiate members. His hair, starting as a blonde, has been bleached by so much exposure to the sun, rendering it almost angelically pale. Due to a birth defect, his skin has remained remarkably pale as well. He typically wears very use-oriented clothing, ornate decorations usually are stripped away by his scouting, and hamper is progress. When he's at the Guild, though, he wears a Bright Blue robe, decorated with useless, but impressive sigils, and the standard, Pointed, star-studded hat. If any were perchance to peer under his long-legged, long-sleeved garb, they would notice a multitude of scars and wounds due to the danger of his job.

Personality: Reagord by first look seems increadibly unfocused, darting his gaze to all sides, but he really is just always on the prowl. When the time calls, he's increadibly focused, and due to his broad studies, has an uncanny knowledge. He's increadibly adventurous, and will actually not hear warnings of danger in conjunction with excitement and knowledge. Unfortunately, many experiences have left him emotionally, as well as physically scarred, and he now only faces danger head on if absolutely neccissary, and so he's usually marked as a coward. He has developed very good inter-personal skills though, and is able to manipulate people into telling him what he needs to know, perhaps even without them knowing. On the other hand, this has lead him to be conceited, and neive, and so he is oblivious to lies, and isn't a very good "friend"

Likes: Knowledge of all sorts, all of his free time is spent reading and talking to wise men, and he reads any selection of books he can find for at least an hour before he sleeps every night.
He's also developed a liking for the outdoors, sort of an occupational neccessity. A beautiful Lake can by chance even distract him from a charging bear.

Dislikes: People. While there are many wisend figures, and interesting warriors in the world, the average joe to him is a blithering idiot that forsakes knowledge, and while he doesn't show it much, he despises them
Entirely contrary to the rest of his nature though is his hatred of the Quoarl, and his uneasiness around the Hingvatt. The Quoarl forsake (inable to use) magic, and so Reagord has never had any friendly relation with one, in fact he actively dispises them, glaring at them, and even picking fights. The Hingvatt, being secretive of their culture and mastering what no other race has, leave Reagord to not truly trust them, although he admires their intelligence far too much to hate any one.

Strengths: Knowledge, Magic

Averages: Charisma, Strength

Weaknesses:
Defense, Wisdom (although he's knowledgable and inciteful, he's uncautious and neive, and has no other traits of wisdom)

Hometown:
Barrow, Silhurst

Biography:
Reagord was born of a normal family. He was an only child, and his parents were actually very proud of him having pointed ears, and they prayed he would become a powerful enchanter some day. When he was still an infant, his mother was kidnapped in a Quoarl raid outside of town. His father swore to find her, but could not take young reagord, and so, leaving him with only their family name, pleaded the Arch-chancellor of the Guild of Magic-Users-of-all-sorts to please take his son in.

After deliberation, the Arch-chancellor accepted, and Young Reagord spent his childhood in the guild. He learned to speak at an increadibly early age, and was able to actually talk to some of the students before he could even walk straight. The students loved having Reagord around, it gave the girls a chance to actually take care of a baby, and many of the boys loved the excuse to miss classes, or practice a new spell.

Through all of this interaction, Reagord developed well as a child, and could coerse any student to do him favors, although nothing bad, he was a good child. The Arch-chancellor kept a close watch on this amazing boy, and decided to give Reagord a job suited to his talents. From the age of around 10, he was the messenger and spokesperson of the guild to the populous, not refined enough to do buisiness, but he would get what the Guild needed from markets, find new students, etc..

As Reagord grew older, the Arch-chancellor began to notice his strange talent, Reagord happened to always know when a student was out of class, or out of the grounds. The Arch-chancellor discussed this with Reagord, and by the time he was 16, he had received the title of 'Scout', and from then on spent much of his time out, spreading the word of the guild, and uncovering magic everywhere. Even with his absence, all of the instructors lent his tomes to study while he was away, and he became as dilligent a student as any other.

Reagord would return very frequently to the University telling all the students, and even many of the instructors, of his travels into mysterious and wonderful lands, and his sights of powerful and awesome magic. Again, the Arch-chancellor, once again noticing the talents of his favored pupil, Told Reagord that, since everyone in the guild listened to all of his stories, he might as well help them with their studies, and so, Reagord became a Tutor, along with a scout. He honed the skills of most of the student body, even learning many of their unique tricks.

So far, he has only been a Tutor for 5 years, but he has left a small reputation for the entire guild, and is looked up to by all for his knowledge, and his unusual strength and charisma for s dedicated mage.

Recently, with the uneasy-ness of the Continent, the Arch-chancellor has asked Reagord to go forth and find the cause of all of these strange occurences, and above all, to find the six items of power that have been spoken of, and retrieve them for use by the guild.

(note from the player: "I want to be clear, that when I mention the Guild-of-Magic-Users-of-all-Sorts, and the Arch-chancellor there of, that I specifically mean The Top university funded and headed by the Guild-of-Magic-Users-of-all-Sorts, since I assumed they would have a college, and the Arch-chancellor of that university. I don't want it to seem like I sweet-talked my way into the most powerful organization on the continent, just a school.
I'm sorry, but when I wrote this bio, I hadn't thought of specifying, but I realize now it's really confusing.")
